ΞΗΡΟΣ ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΟΙΝΟΣ
Organic wine for long aging made from grapes of the international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Vineyard selection with low-yielding old vines.
Harvest: 1st- 2nd week of September
Vinification: Fermentation in French oak vats and aging in 200% new tight-grain French oak barriques for 24 months and bottle aging for another 24 months.
Tasting notes:
Opaque purple color with violet highlights, fruity aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, spicy aromas of black pepper, chocolate, sandalwood and hints of caramel. On the palate, it is vigorous with velvet tannins, multilevel flavours of berries, coffee, sweet spices and a long complex aftertaste.
Goes with: Wild game, smoked charcuterie and cheese.
Aging potential: Keep at least for 5-15 years
